Edward Becker has nearly two decades of experience driving technical solutions in management, architecture, and development roles. As a senior consultant to several companies, including Microsoft, G.E., Expedia, British Telecom, and many more, Edward has led a plethora of projects requiring early adoption of unproven technologies, while minimizing and managing the risk of adopting such new emerging technologies.

Edward’s understanding of web 2.0 (And web ‘3.0’ technologies) is thorough and thoughtful. He’s very active in the social networking community, and has even independently, on his own time, developed a facebook gaming application demonstrating Rapid Application Development utilizing distributed platforms and viral marketing. The application was written entirely by Edward in Ruby on Rails, a relatively new, pure object-orientated language.

While emphasizing innovation over process, Edward also has a firm understanding of the importance of producing repeatable results, and maintainable programs. Edward has lots of experience scrutinizing vendor’s abilities to deliver on their promises, from an architectural perspective (Is the platform robust enough?), a financial perspective (Is the platform’s cost worth it’s benefits?), a strategic perspective (Will vendor business be stable enough to maintain the platform over time?), and tactical perspectives (Service Level Agreements, Support Contracts, and Statement of Work negotiation).
