When We Meet Again

If ever this was a time
When the little boy grew up
His life, stopped on a dime,
would be so hard to pull up

Awash, awash, in a stunned splendor
reeling, revealing
a deer caught in headlights
mild fender bender
but for the deer,
a life ender

Such late empathy
for the young man who grew
so old
so bold
No, it can’t really be this cold

It’s not, the little girl who’s life
stopped on a dime, full of strife
A spot where paths cross
Angst Tossed -
